Architect Pavel Stantchev
Born in 30. V. 1955 г.
Pavel Stantchev obtained his Master degree in Architecture in 1980 at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Sofia.
Between 1980 and 1991 Architect Pavel Stantchev worked for Sofproekt, Sofia.
Some of our more prominent independent projects are:
- Private residential house of the Bulgarian famous opera singer Gena Dimitrova
- 30 classes school in “Ovcha Kupel 1”, „Ovcha Kupel 2 and „Levski G” – completed
- 30 classes school – “Levski G” – completed
- 30 classes school – “Ovcha Kupel 1” – completed
- The Youth Sports Centre in Bistritsa – Construction is underway
- Students Cultural Complex – Studentski Grad – Conceptual project
- School in Abu Dhabi – Conceptual project
From 1991 to 1995 Architect Pavel Stantchev lived and worked in Casablanca, Morocco
Some of his most significant projects and successful implementations are:
- Numerous residences of the Saudi Prince Salman al Saud – brother of the King of Saudi Arabia in the vicinity of Tangier – implemented jointly with the Spanish company AmiCasa – Froediger Studio
- Berrechid marketplace – won in a competition and implemented by the Sbay Architect Studio
- Berrechid Faience Factory – implemented by the Sbay Architect Studio
- Berrechid Cultural Centre – Sbay Architect Studio
- Printing and textile factory in Casablanca – successfully completed by the Grange Studio
- A residential and commercial complex in Casablanca – Scalli Studio
Since 1995 Architect Pavel Stantchev is working as a freelance architect.
- Valentin Mollov’s Office Building – in collaboration with Architect Belyovski
- Realized the project for the Branch of the Bulgarian National Bank – Moskovska 7 Street
- International Monetary Fund Headquarters – in collaboration with Architect Vancheva
- Realized the building hosting the representation of Lada in Bulgaria.
- Realized together with Architect Anislava Beliovska Stantcheva the administrative, business centre on Moskovska 9 Street which hosts the Permanent Representation of the European Commission and the European Parliament, The British Embassy and the Consulate of Canada in Sofia.
- Artistic lighting of the Bulgarian Presidency – in collaboration with Architect Belyovska-Stancheva
- Several residential buildings in Sofia
- Rest home in Kotcherinovo, Bulgaria.
- A large number of single family house
During his career, Architect Pavel Stantchev has participated in many competitions and has been awarded prizes several times:
- Numerous collective awards in competitions
- Awards for independent participation and joint participation with Architect Belyovska-Stancheva
- 1st place at a national competition for a project for a school in Sofia, 1986
- 3rd place at a national competition for a project for a school in Sofia, 1986
- Encouragement award for a commercial centre in Kazanluk, Bulgaria, 1987
- National competition for traditional housing – 3rd premium – 3rd place
- 1st place at the competition for a cultural institute and a market in Berrechid, Morocco, 1991
- Encouragement award for a 40 floor administrative building for Kazahoil, Astana, Kazahstan, 1997
